From what I understand this mod wont prevent a citizen to place a shack even if there are free housing slots available?

This mod's settings can be altered by installing and editing it's config file: Config - ShackDestroyer.zip (566 Bytes) 217.

This is due to the game being allowed to place more than one shack at a time The mod will destroy all shacks but almost instantly a bunch of new ones will pop up. The next obvious difference is when you hit the Destroy All Shacks button at the Palace. When set the most obvious change you see will be more shacks when first starting a map. If more need to be created then the other citizens remain homeless. The game normally only allows placement of one shack at a time.

If you set PlaceMultiples to true in a config then the mod will allow placement of multiple shacks at a time.

If you set UseAltShackPlacement to false in a config then the mod will not use the new shack placement method.If it still cannot place one then it will place one near a random building (this is the game's default behavior).If it cannot place one near the work place, or the worker is unemployed, then it will try to place a shack near a food production building.If it cannot find one, including an existing shack with room, then it will try to place a shack nearby the work place.The game will first try to find an existing housing building within the radius of the citizen's work place.The exception is if you are using PalaceStorm to move your palace. Shack Destroyer will only work on new games because it's a palace upgrade.
